HealthGame is designed to motivate you to walk at least 5,000 steps a day or its equivalent in active energy burned. Many scientific studies set 5,000 steps as a total minimum for a healthy lifestyle.
Different devices have different active calorie reporting systems; they use various algorithms to calculate calories from walking or exercising. Depending on the device you use for your health tracking, you need to choose or set an appropriate daily target.
Go to Settings > My Activity Target to configure your daily active calorie target. You can choose your activity level to see recommended settings calculated for your body parameters or, depending on your experience with your own device, set a custom target that corresponds to a minimum of 5,000 steps.
If 5,000 steps are challenging for you now, don't worry. You should adjust the target in a way that makes you move more. After some time, repeat adjusting your target and add some more steps. Sometimes we need momentum to get on track.
